Protecting your account is our top priority.
To enhance the security of member accounts, LU 354 IBEW Federal Credit Union is updating the login process for Online Banking and our Mobile App.
What’s Changing?
Stronger Password Requirements
When creating or changing your online banking password, it must now include:
- At least 10 characters
- At least 2 letters
- At least 2 numbers
- At least 1 special character (such as !, @, #, $, %, etc.)
These stronger password requirements help better protect your account from unauthorized access.
Updated Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA)
We are also improving our security verification process.
We will no longer use security pictures and security questions.
Instead, when additional verification is needed, you will receive a one-time security code by:
- Email, or
- Text message (SMS)
You will enter this code to verify your identity and securely access your account.
Keep Your Contact Information Current
Because authentication codes will be sent by email or text message, it is important that your email address and mobile phone number are up to date in our system.
Important Dates
- Beginning August 7, 2026, members who voluntarily change their password will be required to use the new password and MFA process.
- If you have not changed your password by August 12, 2026, the system will begin requiring password updates over a 10-day period based on the last digit of your Social Security Number.
Example: If the last digit of your Social Security Number is 9, you will not be required to update your password until August 21, 2026.
Mobile App Biometrics
After you have completed the password update and MFA setup, biometric login options such as Face ID or fingerprint authentication will continue to be available through the Mobile App.
